the meaning of evanescence

i found the definition behind the word rather interesting. evanescent is an adjective meaning something which disappears after a short time. why do you think the group is called evanescence? in my opinion, i think they called it evanescence because they are looking at it as it will soon be forgotten as old music is usually is as new music takes over.
